Introduction

Energy medicine can affect our health on many levels, improving physical, emotional and psychological well being. It is a perfect complementary modality. Welcome to my site. Discernment and curiosity in balance will lead you on a wonderful adventure.

Currently, there are many healing options available to us.  Some of them are orthodox e.g. physiotherapy, osteopathy and myopathy.  Others use different thinking and diagnostic methods e.g. homeopathy, naturopathy and acupuncture.  Awareness of energy medicine has occurred recently with the increasing popularity of Tai Chi, Chi Kung and meditation.  Chakras have found their way into the thinking of the every day individual.

We are becoming increasingly aware that by the use of energy healing modalities we can make positive changes to our health.  The results often surpass our expectations. They may reach into other areas not just the physical. Many of these modalities are misunderstood; their effects seem inconsistent until we delve deeper for answers.

We are open to the use of energy in our everyday lives. Indeed, we would be lost without electricity, gas and telephone. The use of crystals in the form of the silicon chip has revolutionised communication, teaching and research.  Is it not time to embrace energy into health care?  Is it not time to embrace healing?

Background

As a practicing physiotherapist, I have had the unique opportunity to observe the response of the human body to illness.  Whilst the body may react in certain predictable ways, the course of the illness and the outcome, in terms of restoration, of health are not uniform.  As obvious, as this seems our system of medicine is at times to narrow not wholistic enough.

I am amazed by the medical advances of the last hundred years and am deeply indebted to the effective use of our medical system.   Early in my working career, I began to study acupuncture.  It was quite a challenge, as the medicine I had learnt did not help me much in this field.

It was best to forget it, not make comparisons and to learn a new language, a new system and a new method of diagnosis.  The detail, the descriptions and the accuracy of this system was phenomenal.  I began to look at health from both perspectives.  The east meets west junction stretched my thinking and sharpened my observations.

The door to energy modalities flew open.  I met many people with many skills.  They called themselves healers.  Initially, I was skeptical even though I knew that energy was a powerful healing tool.  None the less, I subjected myself to many modalities and was staggered to find that these so-called healings could have powerful effects.

I began to search for answers to my questions.  What is healing?  How does one learn it?  What are the requirements of an effective healer?  I studied Reiki and obtained my level 2 attunements.  Pranic Healing came to me, supposedly it was easy to learn and very effective.  It taught far more than healing.  It helped me to understand that the spiritual path is just that.  You work on yourself and steadily everything improves, including healing ability.

 I made steady progress in terms of my own spiritual development and came to understand that miracles are indeed possible.  Meditation remains part of my life.

Tai Chi, Chi Kung and meditation have all crossed my path and left a definite impression on me.  I meditate almost daily; continue to search, to try to find answers and to grow.  My deep love for my fellow man has kept me in health care.  I enjoy every day especially those days where by an act of faith someone requests a healing.

The Concept

I have through the pursuit, of my career had ample time to work with the physical aspect.  This can be very effective but often stops short of total cure.  There is a gap.  This gap has kept me enthralled for over quarter if a century.  I feel that complementary medicine is of invaluable assistance in this area.

Energy medicine is much more wholistic in its approach.  In this way, it takes into account the complex factors that arise within the being with the occurrence of illness or disharmony.  Often what is medically regarded as sub- clinical e.g. fatigue, anxiety irritating joint pain etc, responds well to energy-based intervention.

We all respond innately to different things.  We tend to be drawn to those things, which suit us most, for deep down we know what we need.  I have learnt a variety of modalities and it is my pleasure to offer them to you to enhance your body’s ability to heal itself.

I am totally convinced that physical health issues respond well to energy medicine.  Emotional issues are easier to reach on this level.  Psychological issues to respond well especially when combined with some simple lifestyle changes and thought monitoring.

Services Available

All the services I now offer are energy medicine based. 

Acupressure treatments based on my acupuncture training; are currently not available but I encourage you to search Acupuncture, laser and traditional and also Shiatsu. My Reiki Healings have become more effective by the increased level of intuition, I now have.  My Pranic Healing training has clarified many of the interrelationships within the body from yet another perspective.  In India and Asia Minor a unique system of medicine also developed.
